The Bamboo School — Volunteer with Local Kids

A community English class for village kids, run by Shampoo and his team at La Bamboo Cafe. Travelers are welcome to visit, help with English practice, and experience a genuine local community project.

A Community Project Near Pakse

The Bamboo School is a small, community-run English class hosted at La Bamboo Cafe, a riverside bamboo space outside Pakse.

It started as a simple idea: give local village children a free and welcoming place to learn English after school.

Shampoo and his team open the cafe several evenings each week, creating a relaxed learning environment where children practice basic English through conversation, games, and simple lessons.

There is no fee and no formal program. Just a bamboo classroom, curious young learners, and a community effort to create opportunities through education.
